Said Pavin to the Associated Press: “Tiger’s obviously a very strong-minded individual and I don’t think he will play any differently when he comes back. He’s come back from injuries and setbacks and done fine.”
The Ryder Cup will be played Wales in about ten months.
Since Tiger is on an indefinite leave of absence due to his well publicized domestic issues, there’s no guarantee that he’ll be back playing golf in time for the Ryder Cup.
Right now, Pavin doesn’t view golf as Tiger’s top priority.
“My main concern is for his family,” said Pavin. “My view of him as a golfer is not going to change at all and my view of him as a human being is not going to change either. Everybody makes mistakes. I’m not going to sit here in judgment.”
While there are reports that Tiger and his wife are getting a divorce, there hasn’t been any definite announcement by either party.
